Health and Nutrition Industry 2009 Census - Trends in Mergers & Acquisitions
Chicago, January 13, 2010 − The slow down evidenced in 2008 continued well into 2009 with a further decline of approximately 10% in M&A transactions.
Increasing commodity prices, the impact of weather and other factors on raw material food costs are likely harbingers of signs that 2010 may be as challenging as 2009, although there may not be a further decline in M&A transactions.
In view of continuing interest in health and nutrition from most participants in the food sector, we have taken the liberty of also forwarding this announcement to those participants.
