John W. Loeb
Principal
John has substantial experience in the operational
and financial management aspects of the manufacturing, distribution,
and retail segments of the food industry. He has devised and implemented
successful strategic acquisition and divestiture programs for both
public and privately held food companies. Throughout his career,
he has completed numerous transactions involving branded and private
label products, foodservice operations and supermarket chains, with
additional specialties in non-food consumer products and office
supplies.

Background
Mr. Loeb was Chairman of the Board, President, and
Chief Executive Officer of Hillman’s, Inc., a regional supermarket
chain that also owned Stop & Shop specialty food stores and
Gaper’s Caterers, Chicago’s largest caterer. He was
also a Board Member of Topco Associates, the nation’s largest
private-label retail food procurement cooperative.

- Member of the Board of Directors of the Food Marketing Institute,
playing an instrumental role in the merger of the National Association
of Food Chains and the Supermarket Institute
- Member of the Board of Directors of Megafoods Stores, Inc.,
during the reorganization of the company, which culminated in
the sale of its assets
- Past and present board member of various charitable foundations
and organizations
- Developer and moderator at numerous food industry meetings
